Burberry tasked Sole to create native content through an editorial film and photo essay, communicating their upcoming AW’21 outerwear collection. The content was required to incorporate Burberry’s seasonal creative cues of contrasting worlds, forces of nature, escapism and discovery, with a foundation across music.

We centred the piece around Nigerian performance artists, Victory and Marvel Ebinum. The setting was an autumnal British forest, and the film was shot by a women-led
director/producer team.
The narrative and choreography built on cues incorporating cause and effect, a sense of escapism and the expression of natural forces through movement.
The entire performance is set against “Empowerment”, a minimal choral composition written and performed by London-based Somali artist, FaceSoul.
